2002 Annual, "Touched By An Angel—of Death!"

19-20 September 2002, Ravensgate

Three of the worst psychos ever assembled on the side of good blow into town:  Ranger Joe, ex-Special Forces commando and ex-Texas Ranger; Ninjun Joe, Ranger Joe’s Japanese-Navajo ninja sidekick; and Dynamite Joe, Ranger Joe’s sapper buddy from the Gulf War.  Their plan to lay low after killing and robbing drug dealers in Fresno goes awry as soon as they cross the city limits and are accosted by two Checkerheads seeking donations.

Starting from that one event, the Three Joes follow corrupt cops and drug dealers around Ravensgate.  After hooking up with Dynamite Joe’s old flame, Sister Mary Magnum, they frame some Pagliacci Gang members for their acts in Fresno, and they follow the two Checkerheads’ money trail to a crack house in Aurora Gate.  There, Dynamite Joe becomes Carchucker Joe when a planned distraction vaults a flaming SUV onto the roof of the three-story house.

2004 Annual, "The Facts of Death (Sesame: Dead on the Street)"

4 March 2004, Ravensgate (played 24 June 2004 at GuardianCon2, Lynnwood, WA)

It’s 23 years later and some members of the 1981 D’Ambrosio High baseball team still blame each other for losing the state title to a team from Portland.  Just goes to show, you can take the kids out of Rust City, but you can’t take Rust City out of the kids.

But that’s not what this story is about.

Two renegade vampires bite some cops, Inspector Shinmen recognizes the nitrous assembly from the stolen car they were driving, and he coerces Grand Theft Otto into hunting them down with their former teammate, the defrocked Father Flanagan.  The priest, who now runs an S&M nightclub with childhood friend Father Ocular, takes Otto, Mary Magnum and clown Rusty Picard on a tour through the rough spots of Ravensgate nightlife.  As they fight their way to their objective, they terrorize a gay vampire, trash a hockey bar in Mulletville, torch a brothel, and shoot up a condo complex.

The moral of the story:  Never give an assault rifle to a clown with impulse-control problems.
