NAME: Francois Champeaux.
OCCUPATION: Instructor Intern, Collegium Caine.
STATUS: US citizen, no criminal record, recently left crime-lab job in the Midwest.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science in criminology, Oregon State University at Ravensgate (via Collegium Caine); Master of Science in criminology, Iowa State University; currently studying to obtain State of Oregon teaching certificate.
MAIN POWERS: Control of visible electromagnetic spectrum, branching into pyrokinesis.

Francois Champeaux was one of Joshua Caine’s original students, but he was too afraid of the risks Joshua was taking in assembling a team of unlicensed vigilantes. Consequently, he left Collegium Caine for parts unknown as soon as he obtained his bachelor’s degree.

Four years later, news of The Doe Family’s activities prompted his return to Ravensgate and his reunion with many of the students and staff at Collegium Caine.

Pyro

Nevermore's Evaluation: Pyro is something of an enigma. I have yet to fathom why he does not like being touched, or why he is emotionally distant. On some level, he has some semblance of a homing instinct and cares for his teammates, and this explains why he has returned to the fold after a couple of years away. His abilities are a double-edged sword: His investigative training and stealth powers are an unquestioned asset, while his neuroses and thermal powers may be a hindrance.
