NAME: Danielle Devereaux.
OCCUPATION: Student.
STATUS: Dual US-Canadian citizen, no criminal record.
EDUCATION: Bachelors of Arts in economics and biodiversity sciences, Collegium Caine; Master of Science in biochemical economics, Throckmorton Polytechnic Institute (via Collegium Caine). Currently conducting doctoral research.
MAIN POWERS: Kinetic and gravitic manipulation at the cellular level, hyper-intellect.

Danielle Devereaux is the orphaned daughter of two murdered superheroes, Massdriver and Corona from Team Hyperion. She and her uncle Joshua Caine lost most of their immediate family when Hyperion’s team airplane blew up over the Pacific Ocean in 1993. Understandably, she bought into the conspiracy theories surrounding the deaths of Ravensgate’s original superhero team. She’s been able to help prove most of them.

As Frisson, Danielle has been a quiet but stable presence on the team, opting to immerse herself in problem-solving or research and let others lead the team. As herself, she has proven since age five and a half that she is not to be underestimated. Her cousin, Ravensgate Mayor Salome Throckmorton-d’Aubaine, often seeks her advice, much to the chagrin and trepidation of family patriarch Lemuel “Poppy Lem” Throckmorton, Jr. Lemuel is more afraid of Danielle’s off-the-charts intellect than he is of any of his executives.

POWERS (altered by events in “Anime Mundi”):
1) GRAVITY CONTROL: R=10”, PR=weight factor, maximum factor 10, 16 to hit.
2) MUTANT ICE POWERS: R=25”, PR=2, 1d12 base damage, 20 to hit, cannot create more than her own weight in ice unless firing into water.
a) ATTACK FORMS include Frost Blast, Ice Slide and Ice Weaponry.
b) DEFENSIVE FORM (PR=1) is Invulnerability equal to END, Adaptation (vs. heat, cold and flame), Absorption of cold damage (heals her PR & HP), and a Personal Damage Shield (straight 2d6 applied against incoming damage, and any attacker/weapon making physical contact).
c) The ICE SLIDE can add Damage roll to her MOVEMENT, or it can be used to coat 25 squares for one round (characters failing percentile AGI save fall for 1d12 damage).
d) The FROST BLAST may also be used as an Agility Drain; targets must make an END Saving Throw or lose 1d12 Agility for an entire round.

Frisson

Nevermore's Evaluation: Frisson bears well the legacy of the original Team Hyperion. Her powers are an amalgam of her parents' abilities, but she has yet to display her father's powers in public. She easily is one of the two most intelligent people I have ever met [see also Velocity], yet she seems to lack the other person's drive to invent. Often, she acts jaded in combat, and this may stem from the seemingly-impervious ice-crystal force field she can generate. However, I fear what will happen when she encounters someone who has willfully and deliberately harmed a loved one.

Frisson's psychokinetic manipulation of oxygen and hydrogen molecules results in her ability to form ice out of thin air. The molecules become weighed down by each other when they merge into water, and, as a result, their decreased speed and the resulting decreased friction create the ice. To some degree, her gravitic manipulation powers may assist in this function.
